Holiday season is approaching, and it’s going to look a little bit different this year. With all of the COVID-19 restrictions, those large gatherings are going to be cut down to small intimate events. I’m not sure about you, but my favorite part about the holidays was getting myself all dolled up to show off my new holiday outfit and makeup looks. Even though the look would only last a few hours, I always make sure to take photos and post to my social feed immediately.

Zoom holiday parties are going to be a hot commodity this year! I’m here to help you plan your look so you can look your very best even when you might not feel your very best.

Zoom holiday parties are going to be a hot commodity this year!

Here are a few key items you need to shock your coworkers. Let’s face it—the whole point of this is to go all out right? So turn on that Zoom camera and get ready to show off your holiday look. Don’t forget to take pictures!

1. Comfort is everything.

Remember, this is a Zoom work party. So there isn’t a need to wear that small cocktail dress and be uncomfortable at home. Instead, look into a show stopping jumpsuit, either with sequins or a bright color. If that’s not your style, keep it simple with a muted color.

This silver jumpsuit from Revolve will definitely turn heads virtually. If sequins are too much, you can wear a solid color jumpsuit with dramatic tailoring and design. Another spot for affordable clothing is ASOS. Their discount section is filled with rare finds and beautiful clothing. You don’t even need to wear shoes if you don’t feel like it. Instead of heels, you can opt for fuzzy slippers.

2. Make your eyes pop!

Use your favorite palette to make your eyes sparkle. I have a few eyeshadows that I love from ColourPop Cosmetics, which is a great brand if you want to bring the shimmer to the party. This Flutter Palette has all the right colors to make your eyes shimmer all night, Just make sure you have a good eyeshadow base to keep the color on all night.

Another thing about ColourPop is that the brand is affordable and dependable. If you’re on a tight budget, this brand is the way to go!

3. Don’t forget to accessorize.

If dressing up isn’t your thing, accessories are the way to go. A good statement necklace or pair of earrings will definitely catch someone’s eye. Giving you more of a reason to stare at yourself in awe.

Sale sections on websites such as H&M and Old Navy have a large selection of discount jewelry that lasts for a while. You could also support a small business in your area and pick up some jewelry there. Either way, statement jewelry is an easy way to dress up any look without your clothes being too over the top.

What are some of your go-to style tips for Zoom calls? How are you dressing up for the holidays?
