It’s our home, it’s our backyard and we share it with so many of you. The images and stories coming out of the Ventura, Los Angeles and San Diego county wildfires aren’t easy to watch, but the outpouring of support is something we’ll share any day.

We sourced the below from our community on Instagram. If you know of other ways to take part in the relief effort here in Southern California, please share in the comments. We’ll be updating as we learn of more.

United Way of Ventura County — That’s for victims of the Thomas Fire. So far, 439 homes have been completely burned down.

The United Way of Greater Los Angeles is also allocating funds to to vetted organizations throughout southern California.

The Humane Society in Ventura County is accepting financial donations and also supplies including horse feed, batteries, tarps and rope at its location at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai.

You can also donate financially to the Humane Society’s San Diego chapter or supplies like wire crates and bottled water at 5500 Gaines St. and at its Escondido location at 3450 E. Valley Parkway.

1-800-RED-CROSS or text “REDCROSS” to 90999 to make a $10 donation to the Red Cross. They are also accepting volunteers who want to support the wildfire relief efforts.
