Spring entertaining is finally upon us. We can’t wait to start incorporating fresh fruit and herbs into our menus and parties. This spin on a gin and tonic allows us to do just that by incorporating both blood oranges and aromatic sprigs of rosemary. We like serving it as a signature cocktail prior to a dinner party.
Easy to put together, it’s the perfect intentional touch. Prepped ahead of time, it can allow you to mingle with your guests with ease!
Blood Orange Gin and Tonic
1.5 ounce gin
1 ounce triple sec
1/4 cup blood orange juice
1 tbsp rosemary simple syrup (recipe below)
Tonic to top
Ice to serve
Rosemary sprigs and blood orange slices to garnish
Mix gin, triple sec, blood orange juice and rosemary syrup in cocktail glass over ice.
Top with tonic water.

Serve and enjoy!
For the rosemary simple syrup:
Combine one cup water and one cup sugar and bring to boil. Add 2-3 sprigs of rosemary and let simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Can be used immediately or refrigerated overnight for a stronger taste. Can be kept in refrigerator for future use.
